Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a proactive Early Childhood Co-Teacher in Houston, TX. You will support lead teachers in Prekindergarten to Grade 2, facilitate small-group instruction, and provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students.

The role is grant-funded under Title I Part A, with duties aligned to allowable activities. Compensation includes an hourly rate and 12‑month payout. Join a mission-driven team focused on college access for all students.

Qualifications

• Education: 48 college hours or bachelor's degree required.
• Experience: 1+ year(s) in a classroom or volunteer setting with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational development of students under the direction of classroom teachers.
• Assist with maintaining student records and progress.
• Support Tier 1 core instruction and small-group sessions based on data and planning.
• Facilitate small-group instruction and interventions.
• Monitor student learning and provide feedback to students and families.
