Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Early Childhood Co-Teacher to support Tier 1 instruction for Prekindergarten through Grade 2 under the lead teacher. You will run small groups, provide academic and social-emotional support, and help cultivate joyful, engaging classrooms where students thrive.

This grant-funded role operates under Title I Part A funds with an hourly rate and comprehensive benefits. 48 college hours or a bachelor’s degree plus 1+ year of classroom experience are required.

Qualifications

• Education: 48 college hours or a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• Experience: 1+ year working with children in a classroom or volunteer setting.
• Knowledge: early childhood development and instructional practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational development of students under guidance of classroom teachers.
• Support Tier 1 core instruction and small-group interventions based on data.
• Monitor learning, provide feedback, and communicate progress weekly.
• Participate in meetings, after-school duties, and school-wide activities.
