Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Event Coordinator at our Fayetteville, NC store to plan and run events, including children\'s parties, and to deliver friendly customer service inside the store.

You will manage event logistics, communicate with clients, and coordinate with store staff to ensure a fun, safe experience for all participants. You will engage customers, promote rewards programs, and assist with store processes such as packing, checkout, and merchandise recovery

Qualifications

• Must have excellent people skills.
• Must have experience working with children and children's events.
• Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children\'s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons to company standards and communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS/SFS) and participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
