Job summary

M Michaels is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan and execute in-store events, including children’s birthday parties, crafts, and classes. You will engage guests, manage activities, and promote add-ons while ensuring a fast, friendly checkout and helpful product assistance.

You’ll collaborate with store staff, handle email and calls, adapt plans based on client feedback, and maintain safety and cleanliness standards before, during, and after events.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and coordinating events, especially kids' parties and in-store activities.
• Strong customer service skills with focus on creating a positive guest experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and active listening abilities.
• Solid organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and events simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, creating a fun and creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards during setup, events, and breakdown.
