Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an Events Coordinator for a busy store in Mentor, OH. You will plan and run engagement events, including children’s parties and craft classes, while helping guests shop and enjoy a smooth checkout.

You’ll deliver friendly service, enroll customers in Rewards and Private Label Credit Card programs, and support omni-channel processes such as BOPIS and SFS. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and a positive store atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in the Michaels store, including children’s parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and guide participants through crafts, including face painting and activities.
• Coordinate party add-ons (goody bags, balloons) per company standards.
• Assist customers, help locate products, and ensure fast, friendly checkout.
• Handle emails, calls, and paperwork; maintain store cleanliness and safety.
