Job summary

Michaels in Strongsville, OH is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate events, including children’s birthday parties, inside the store. You will engage guests, demonstrate crafts, and ensure a fun, safe, and stress-free experience.

You will handle emails, calls, and paperwork, adjust plans based on client feedback, and work with the store team to deliver the brand promise through exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards.
