Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking an events-focused team member to plan and coordinate in-store activities, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage customers of all ages, assist with shopping, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience.

You will also participate in BOPIS/SFS processes, stock and planogram tasks, and maintain store cleanliness and safety standards while delivering strong customer service and promoting the rewards program.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills.
• Energetic and enthusiastic personality.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events, including kids birthday parties and craft classes.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout and help customers shop and find products.
• Educate customers on rewards program, private label credit cards, and enrollments.
• Assist with omni-channel processes (BOPIS & SFS) and store recovery duties.
• Participate in daily store cleanliness and safety programs.
