Job summary

Michaels is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including children's birthday parties, craft classes, and related activities. You will engage guests, guide activities, and coordinate add-ons while ensuring a fun and safe experience throughout the store.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clients and the store team, handling administrative tasks, and maintaining store standards for a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• Experience planning events or children's activities is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with guests of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and guide party activities; perform face painting and other activities as needed.
• Coordinate add-ons like goody bags and balloons per company standards.
• Communicate events to clients and store team members; handle administrative tasks (emails, calls, paperwork).
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and prepare backup or contingency plans.
• Ensure client satisfaction and uphold store cleanliness and safety before/after events.
