Job summary

The Michaels Stores, Inc. seeks an energetic team member to coordinate in-store events, including children’s birthday parties, and deliver an engaging guest experience. You will assist customers, guide craft activities, and handle add-ons while maintaining store safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include planning multiple events, handling administrative tasks, and collaborating with store teams to exceed customer expectations. Prior retail experience is preferred.

• Energetic and enthusiastic personality.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Must have excellent people skills and communication skills.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events inside the Michaels store, including kids birthdays and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages and provide friendly customer service.
• Demonstrate and guide participants in crafts during events; perform face painting and other activities as needed.
• Facilitate party add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to standards.
• Handle administrative tasks: emails, calls, and paperwork; communicate events to clients and store team.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; assist with stock and SOPs.
