Job summary

Michaels, a leading arts and crafts retailer, is seeking an energetic events coordinator to lead in-store activities including children’s parties. You will plan, set up, and run events, ensuring a friendly, engaging atmosphere that enhances the guest experience.

Responsibilities include coordinating with store teams, teaching crafts, handling checkouts and RSVP communications, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards throughout the events.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and coordinating events, including children’s parties.
• Ability to engage customers of all ages.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in-store.
• Engage clients of all ages with fun experiences.
• Instruct party participants and perform face painting.
• Coordinate add-ons like goody bags and balloons.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Handle emails, phone calls, paperwork.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety during events.
• Assist with stocking, planograms, and SISO duties.
• Support omni-channel processes (BOPIS, SFS).
• Uphold SOPs and company policies.
