Job summary

Michaels Stores in Minnesota is seeking an energetic event coordinator to plan and run store events, including kids’ birthday parties, craft classes, and other activities. You will engage customers, demonstrate crafts, and help shoppers while delivering a fast, friendly checkout experience.

You’ll also assist with stocking, planograms, and store recovery to support the customer journey. Responsibilities include communicating with clients and team, adjusting events per feedback, and ensuring

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Must have excellent people skills.
• Must have good communication skills (written, verbal, and nonverbal).

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events (children’s birthday parties and other craft events).
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in craft projects; perform face painting and activities.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; handle emails and calls.
• Assist with stocking, planograms and store recovery tasks; support SOPs and policies.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness; set up and tear down events; manage backups as needed.
