Job summary

Michaels is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and manage in-store events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage clients of all ages, demonstrate projects, and handle event add-ons while ensuring a fun, safe store environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with store teams, answering inquiries, and maintaining SOPs. Prior experience in retail or customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct craft projects; lead activities and face painting as needed.
• Facilitate party add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; handle emails and calls.
• Assist with daily SOPs, store cleanliness, safety, and planogram processes.
• Ensure client satisfaction and adapt plans based on feedback.
• Cross-train in framing sales and production as needed.
