Job summary

Life Time is seeking a dedicated Kids/Academy Manager to oversee safety, engagement, and daily operations within the Academy/Child Center. You will partner with the Kids Manager and staff to deliver a high-quality experience for junior members and their families, while upholding Life Time’s mission and inclusive workplace values.

You’ll lead training, hire and coach the Kids team, manage payroll within budget, and coordinate events and programming to drive participation and revenue.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of experience teaching or working in a children’s program.
• 2 years of experience in day care setting as a lead teacher or two consecutive summers of camp experience with increased responsibility.
• 2 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Certification requirements include Kids On-Demand Certifications before start date; First Aid, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service and a safe, clean, and friendly environment for Members and Guests.
• Promotes and assists Kids Manager in preparing for events/programming along with marketing and driving participation numbers and revenue.
• Manages the Academy/Child Center payroll within budgetary guidelines while making recommendations as needed to the Kids Manager.
• Manages and supports the Kids team members by providing ongoing training, giving feedback, and coaching.
• Completes the casting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of kids team members.
• Completes inventory and assists in ordering and maintaining supplies, toys and equipment within the Academy/Child Center and for Events and Programming.
