Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Mississippi LLC in Baldwyn, MS is seeking a team member to provide exceptional customer service, assist with merchandise, and complete sales transactions. You will support store operations and may help opening or closing duties in the absence of management.

You will maintain inventory, assist with deliveries, stock shelves, help protect assets, and contribute to a clean, welcoming store. Strong communication and a friendly attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent. Ability to read, interpret and explain to others operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics, etc).
• Experience: Prefer management experience in retail, grocery or drug store environments.

Responsibilities

• Guides store team on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures and explains standards to team members.
• Greets, assists and thanks customers; answers questions and resolves inquiries and concerns.
• Builds average basket through suggestive selling and linking add-on items.
• Maintains a clean, well‑stocked store.
• Handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system.
• Unloads merchandise from deliveries; stocks shelves and moves stock from the stockroom to the floor.
• Assists in asset protection and maintaining store conditions.
• In absence of Store Manager/Asst Manager, handles opening/closing duties and cash deposits/receipts.
• Complies with all Company Policies and Procedures.
