About The Role

DNV is seeking a Key Customer Manager who will lead the business development work for new Key Customers for our Business Assurance North America. The Key Customer Manager will actively build relations with key decision makers and influencers in the Customer’s organization and its stakeholders, enabling deep understanding and foresight of customer needs. The position is responsible for achieving sales targets.

This role represents the entire range of company products and services to Key Customers. Responsible for the satisfaction and retention of Key Customer accounts, with an emphasis on increasing sales in line with assigned sales objectives.

Working closely with the Market & Industries Team, Regional Managers and Area Sales teams, with Assurance and Supply Chain (ASC) leadership, the sales network, and operations, this position requires the ability to collaborate and achieve results sometimes through others.

This role is 100% remote within the United States.

What You'll Do

  1. Actively build relations with key decision makers and influencers in the Customer’s organization and stakeholders, enabling deep understanding and foresight of customer needs.
  2. Develop an understanding of the Key Customer (and its subsidiaries and affiliates) needs and challenges in all respects, including its organization, geographical spread, offerings, business structure, environment, and existing DNV relationships, as well as a sound understanding of the customer’s vision, values, financials, and culture.
  3. Coordinate business development and sales initiatives taking place in other DNV units related to Key Customers under your responsibility.
  4. Contribute to the design and roll-out of new services, providing inputs, ideas, and collaboration to business development, including defining sales actions and engaging peers in promotion.
  5. Act as an ambassador of trusted partnership and be accountable for the success and growth of Key Customer relationships.
  6. Work closely with the Market & Industries, ASC, CERT sales leadership teams, Area Sales Teams, and the sales network to achieve business results, goals, and KPIs.
  7. Achieve assigned sales objectives in designated strategic accounts.
  8. Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
  9. Stay updated on new technologies, market conditions, and competitive intelligence to better serve existing customers, cultivate prospects, and grow the company’s presence and revenue.
  10. Collaborate regularly with Key Customer Project Managers and Account Officers to assess, clarify, and validate contractual obligations and customer needs.
  11. Apply pricing, discounts, and contractual terms according to DNV procedures and authority levels.
  12. Prepare, update, and maintain customer business plans.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000, influenced by skills, experience, and location.

About You

What is Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Five or more years of industry experience
  • Experience with Digital Assurance
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in social/network selling (e.g., LinkedIn)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Pre-employment drug and background screening
What is Preferred
  • Experience in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) Industry
