Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Key Carrier at HomeGoods in Visalia, CA. This elevated role alternates with the Coordinator, often acting as Manager on Duty and leading store operations to support a positive customer experience.

You must be flexible, able to coach and manage tasks, and maintain store procedures while upholding safety and labor policies. This position emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience and 6 months leadership experience.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Able to coach, delegate, and follow-up on multiple people/tasks.
• Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores.
• Proven problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience.
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure.
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed.
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides appropriate coaching to Associates.
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures.
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines.
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates.
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback.
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates.
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned
