Key Account Manager - Electrical Power Utilities

We are seeking Key Account Managers (KAM) to support Siemens’ largest accounts in the United States. This remote role offers an opportunity to utilize your electrical utility expertise in providing solutions and selling software and energy automation equipment.

Siemens Grid Software and Energy Automation are designed to accelerate energy transition and electrification, offering innovative products for energy protection, automation, communication technology, data analytics, digital twin solutions, and IoT applications.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Reporting to the VP of Sales, identifying, implementing, and driving sales for targeted accounts.
  • Developing and supporting account plans, sales strategies, and growth initiatives.
  • Building relationships with CxO-level, VP, and Director contacts within utilities and municipalities.
  • Achieving sales targets and supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Launching new offerings and commercial models.
  • Assisting clients with funding requests.
  • Providing weekly updates on forecasts, opportunities, and initiatives.
  • Collaborating with product management, marketing, engineering, and support teams.
Qualifications:
Basic:
  • Extensive experience selling grid software and energy automation to utility customers, with skills in bid management, contract negotiations, and sales campaigns.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple internal teams to customize solutions.
  • Proficiency in English for communication at all organizational levels.
  • Proven account management with accurate forecasting and quota attainment.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in STEM or business.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
  • Work authorization in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred:
  • Experience with MEDDICC or Challenger sales methodologies.
  • Experience with On-Prem and Cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Revegy.
  • Knowledge of electric power distribution networks.
Benefits:

Siemens offers comprehensive health and wellness benefits. The salary range is $107,520 - $184,320, plus bonuses or commissions, depending on experience and location. Details are available at Benefits Overview.
