Key Account Manager - Electrical Power Utilities

We are seeking Key Account Managers (KAM) to support Siemens’s largest accounts in the United States. This remote role involves utilizing your electrical utility domain expertise to provide solutions while selling software and energy automation equipment.

Siemens Grid Software and Energy Automation aim to accelerate energy transition and electrification by offering innovative products and solutions in energy protection, automation, communication technology, data analytics, digital twin solutions, and IoT applications.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Reporting to the VP of Sales, identifying, implementing, and driving sales for targeted accounts.
  2. Developing and supporting account plans, driving growth initiatives, and sales strategies.
  3. Building relationships with CxO-level, VP, and Director contacts within utilities and municipalities, clearly communicating Siemens’ value proposition.
  4. Achieving sales targets, launching new offerings, and assisting clients with funding requests.
  5. Providing regular updates on forecasts, opportunities, and initiatives.
  6. Collaborating with product management, marketing, engineering, support, and delivery teams.
Qualifications:
Basic:
  • Experience selling grid software and energy automation to utility customers, including managing complex bids, contract negotiations, and sales campaigns.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple internal teams and communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including C-Suite.
  • Proven account management skills, including sales forecasting and quota attainment across multiple product lines.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in STEM or business.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% and work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred:
  • Experience with MEDDICC, Challenger sales, On-Prem and Cloud solutions, Salesforce, and Revegy.
  • Knowledge of electric power distribution networks.
Benefits:

Siemens offers comprehensive health and wellness benefits. The salary range is $107,520 - $184,320, with potential bonuses or commissions based on performance and experience.
