Key Account Manager - Electrical Power Utilities

Join us as a Key Account Manager - Electrical Power Utilities at Siemens.

This role involves supporting Siemens’s largest accounts in the United States, employing your electrical utility domain expertise to provide solutions and sell software and energy automation equipment. It is a remote position within the contiguous U.S.

At Siemens Grid Software, our mission is to accelerate and secure the energy transition sustainably and profitably. We aim to empower grid operators with autonomous grid management, facilitating their digital transformation to turn grid complexity into a competitive advantage.

Responsibilities include:
  • Reporting to the VP of Sales, identifying, implementing, and driving sales for targeted accounts.
  • Developing and supporting account plans, driving growth initiatives, and sales strategies.
  • Cultivating relationships with CxO-level, VP, and Director stakeholders within municipalities and utilities.
  • Achieving sales targets, launching new offerings, and building funding cases for clients.
  • Providing weekly forecasts and updates, representing the enterprise utility team across functions.
Qualifications:
Basic:
  • Extensive experience selling grid software and energy automation to utility customers, managing complex bids, negotiations, and campaigns.
  • Ability to coordinate internal teams and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proven account management skills, including forecasting and quota attainment.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in STEM or business, with ability to travel up to 30% and work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred:
  • Experience with MEDDICC, Challenger selling, On-Prem and Cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, knowledge of electric power distribution networks.
Benefits:
