Job summary

Cengage is a global edtech company seeking a sales professional to engage prospective customers and present product solutions for our digital and print offerings. You will meet sales targets, develop strategic territory plans and drive growth across the assigned region.

The role requires strong communication, relationship-building and territory-management skills, with proficiency in CRM and MS Office. Lifting up to 50 lbs is required. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Denver, CO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with teaching and education sales preferred in publishing.
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with customers, partners, colleagues and management.
• Documented territory management and strong organizational skills.
• Strong competency in business technologies, multiple applications, CRM systems and MS Office; lifting 50 lbs may be required.
• Preferred: sales experience with knowledge of digital information delivery, education, or IT industry.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data.
• Participate in network-building opportunities within the territory, including conferences and industry events.
• Other duties as needed.
