Job summary

Great Hearts Academies in Live Oak, TX seeks a Reading/Dyslexia Interventionist to deliver evidence-based, multi-sensory instruction for students with dyslexia and reading challenges. The role includes monitoring progress, maintaining records, and communicating with families and staff to close gaps in learning.

The interventionist will provide small-group or 1:1 support, participate in 504 processes, and collaborate with teachers to design targeted plans that foster academic and personal growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Reading, Literacy, Education, or a related field.
• Valid Texas teaching certification in Reading/Literacy or a related area preferred.
• Master Reading Certification preferred.
• Three (3) years of successful teaching experience and/or reading intervention for K-5.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dyslexia-focused reading intervention using multi-sensory strategies.
• Monitor student progress, maintain confidential records, and report outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the school community to support learning.
• Attend Section 504 meetings as the dyslexia representative and support assessments.
