Job summary

Alpha hires teachers (guides) and staff to reimagine the school day around faster learning and stronger mentorship. This Student Success Coach role focuses on guiding K-3 students through app-based core learning, diagnosing decoding gaps, and executing brief sequences to close them.

You will remain with students from morning launch to closing, using data to name gaps for families and school leadership, with a strong emphasis on measurable growth.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9.
• At least 2 years coaching students on reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master's in reading or literacy.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Bachelor's degree; teaching certificate not required.

Responsibilities

• Coach two to four students in app-based core learning and diagnose gaps from running records.
• Lead short literacy sessions and teach sequences designed to close decoding gaps.
• Stay with students through morning launch, lunch, recess, and closing, guiding progress with data.
• Drive students to weekly app goals using school currency and gamification.
• Maintain daily routines and address frustration with proactive plans.
