Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Learning Coach to guide K–3 students through app-based core learning and literacy gaps. You will run short sessions for small groups, lead morning routines, and help students meet weekly app goals with gamification.

Ideal candidates have structured-literacy training or a reading-master, a Bachelor’s degree, and at least 3 years with children; on-site work with relocation support is required.

Qualifications

• Willing to work on-site at a campus listed above, with relocation support
• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9
• At least 2 years teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master's in reading or literacy
• Bachelor's degree in any subject; teaching certificate not required
• Comfortable guiding students through app-based learning most of the day
• Willing to work with all K-3 students, not only struggling readers
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning; spotting gaps and unblocking progress
• Running short structured-literacy sessions for two to four students
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities
• Driving students to weekly app goals with leaderboards and gamification
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing
