Job summary

Mastery Schools seeks an Assistant Director of K-3 Literacy to lead and support high-quality literacy instruction across K-3, grounded in the Science of Reading. You will coach teachers, guide data-informed planning, and partner with K-2 and 3-8 teams to ensure seamless transitions and strong WIN blocks.

You will also help design professional learning, develop instructional resources, and contribute to network literacy initiatives while collaborating with Academic Operations.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of early literacy and the Science of Reading with MTSS experience.
• Experience improving literacy outcomes through coaching, curriculum development, or leadership.
• Ability to analyze student data to drive instructional improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop teachers and leaders to improve Tier 1 literacy.
• Strengthen K-3 MTSS, data-informed planning, and instructional coherence.
• Analyze achievement data to identify trends and inform support priorities.
• Design and lead professional learning for teacher and leader practice.
• Develop resources and guidance to support curriculum implementation.
