Job summary
Math Corps, powered by Ampact, is seeking tutors to support students in local schools. You’ll conduct targeted 20–30 minute tutoring blocks with groups of up to 3 students and return them to class ready for learning. We provide training, coaching, and ongoing growth opportunities.
Positions run for the 2026-27 year with hours ranging from 20 to 35 per week, daytime schedules, and weekends off. AmeriCorps members receive a stipend, health insurance options, child care assistance, and education
Qualifications
- Dependable with a history of good attendance.
- Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
- Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
- Able to successfully complete a background check.
Responsibilities
- Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
- Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule for each group.
- Track student progress and meet with the onsite coach.
- Record student scores into data software.
- Commit to coaching and training for growth.
- Share experiences with the community.
