Job summary

Colorado Youth for a Change invites applicants for the K-3 Math Corps Tutor role within the Colorado Math Corps AmeriCorps program. The tutor will provide supplemental math practice to kindergarten through third-grade students at one elementary school, following scripted strategies and ongoing coaching.

The position runs the full school year, with a 35-40 hour work week during school hours, and begins October 19, 2026 and ends May 28, 2027.

Qualifications

• Interest in education and helping children grow math skills.
• Strong commitment to community service and flexible work style.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are a plus.
• Willingness to learn and receive feedback from coaches.

Responsibilities

• Identify students for tutoring based on program assessments.
• Deliver daily 20-minute tutoring sessions with fidelity to scripted strategies.
• Maintain weekly tutoring schedules and document progress in the online system.
• Collaborate with coaches and teachers to monitor student progress.
• Engage families and participate in program trainings and coaching sessions.
