Job summary

Ampact, via Math Corps, seeks a Math Tutor to work with students in a local school, delivering structured math practice and coaching under supervision. You’ll run small groups, monitor progress, and help students grow in confidence.

Positions run for the 2026-27 school year with daytime weekday hours. AmeriCorps members receive a stipend and benefits, including health insurance and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent; US citizen or eligible to work.
• Able to complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
