Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is hiring Math Tutors to work in local schools, delivering structured math practice to small groups of students. You’ll be trained to run proven activities, track progress, and coordinate with onsite coaches to maximize student growth.

Roles run during the school year with daytime hours, part- or full-time options, and a stipend plus benefits as part of AmeriCorps. Candidates must be age 18+, US residents, and able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who’s focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school’s onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
