Job summary

Ampact is hiring Math Corps tutors to work in local schools. You’ll lead small math tutoring groups, follow a fixed schedule, and help students build confidence and skills. Training and coaching support are provided to help you succeed in this AmeriCorps-based role.

Positions run for the 2026-27 school year with full-time and part-time options, including a paid hourly stipend and comprehensive benefits. Strong communication and dependable attendance are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who’s focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school’s onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
