Job summary

Alpha is hiring a full-time on-site Homeroom Teacher to guide K-3 students through app-based literacy learning and structured sessions. You will lead morning launches, literacy workshops, and daily campus routines, ensuring steady progress and closing reading gaps.

The role emphasizes diagnostic teaching, differentiated instruction, and staying with students through lunch and closing. A structured-literacy background and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work with children ages 4-9, in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, or similar settings.
• 2+ years of experience teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training (LET RS, IMSE, OG, Fundations, UFLI, etc.) or a master's in reading/literacy.
• Bachelor's degree in any subject; teaching certificate not required.

Responsibilities

• Get every K-3 student to daily learning goals and close reading gaps.
• Coaching students through app-based core learning and diagnostics.
• Lead morning launch, literacy workshops, and essential campus routines.
• Guide students toward weekly app goals using motivation systems.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and closing with targeted plans.
