Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a full-time on-site Homeroom Teacher at a Boston campus. You will guide K-3 students through app-based learning, diagnose gaps, and run short literacy sessions with small groups to close reading gaps.

Applicants should have 3+ years with young children, 2+ years teaching reading in K-3, and structured-literacy training or a master’s. Relocation support is available and US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• On-site work with relocation support listed for campuses.
• At least 3 years direct work with children ages 4-9 in relevant settings.
• At least 2 years of experience teaching reading in K-3 (last 5 years).
• Structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading/literacy completed.
• Bachelor's degree; teaching certificate not required.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning and closing gaps.
• Running short structured-literacy sessions with 2–4 students.
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and routines.
• Driving weekly app goals with leaders and gamification.
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing.
