Job summary

Alpha is hiring a full-time on-site guide to support K–3 reading development using app-based core literacy tools. You will diagnose and close decoding gaps, lead short sessions for small groups, and sustain daily routines from launch to closing.

You will mentor families with weekly data and progress, provide targeted sequences, and collaborate with campus teams to raise literacy outcomes, staying engaged throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years working directly with children 4-9 in education or related settings.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master's in reading/literacy.
• Bachelor's degree in any subject; teaching certificate not required.

Responsibilities

• Coach students through app-based core learning; identify gaps and drive progress.
• Run short literacy sessions for 2-4 students; diagnose gaps and deliver targeted sequences.
• Lead morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities.
• Drive students toward weekly app goals using incentives and gamification.
• Stay with students through lunch and recess, providing plans to address frustration.
