Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a full-time, on-site Homeroom Teacher (Guides) to support K–3 literacy using app-based learning. You will diagnose decoding gaps, run short sessions, and stay with students from launch to close, building data-driven progress for each child.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9.
• At least 2 years teaching reading in grades K-3 in the last 5 years.
• Structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor’s degree in any subject; teaching certificate not required.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning and diagnosing gaps.
• Leading short literacy sessions with two to four students.
• Maintaining daily goals and tracking weekly progress with parents.
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing.
• Launching morning activities and life-skills workshops.
