Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Youth Development Coach to work on-site at a campus. This full-time role involves guiding K–3 students through app-based core learning, diagnosing gaps, and applying targeted literacy sequences.

You will lead short literacy sessions for small groups, run morning launches and life-skills activities, and track progress toward weekly app goals using engaging incentives. Relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working directly with children aged 4–9 in relevant settings.
• 2+ years of experience teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master's in reading or literacy.

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning, diagnosing gaps, and guiding progress.
• Lead short literacy sessions for 2–4 students and monitor transfer of learning.
• Run morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities.
• Guide students toward weekly app goals using school currency and gamification.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and closing with proactive plans.
