Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Student Success Coach to guide K-3 students through app-based core learning on a full-time, on-site basis across our campuses in the United States. You’ll diagnose reading gaps, design mini sequences, and help students reach daily goals.

You will stay with your students from launch to close, lead short literacy sessions for 2–4 children, and use data-driven steps like leaderboards and rewards to motivate progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of direct work with children ages 4–9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, or similar settings.
• At least 2 years of experience coaching reading in grades K-3 within last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training (e.g., LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, or equivalent) or a masters in reading.
• Bachelor's degree; teaching certificate not required.
• Able to spend ~90% of the day guiding students through app-based learning and campus routines.
• Willing to work with all K-3 students, not only struggling readers.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coach K-3 students through app-based core learning, diagnosing gaps and unblocking progress.
• Lead short structured-literacy sessions with 2–4 students, using sequences you designed.
• Maintain daily learning goals and monitor progress with data dashboards.
• Bring students through routines: morning launch, life-skills workshops, lunch, recess, closing.
• Route students to weekly app goals using leaderboards and gamification.
