Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks a Diverse Learners Teacher to deliver instruction, monitor student progress, manage classroom behavior, and contribute to a positive learning environment in alignment with CPS standards.

You will collaborate with case managers, counselors, and general education teachers to tailor supports per student’s IEP, promote equity, and employ evidence-based practices for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution
• Valid Illinois teaching license with LBS1 endorsement
• Completion of CPS online application and teaching profile at cps.edu/teach

Responsibilities

• Instruct and manage instruction and progress for students in assigned classes
• Track student progress and maintain discipline as required
• Collaborate with case managers, counselors, and general education teachers to determine instructional and social needs of students

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher

Illinois State Board of Education teaching license with LBS1 endorsement
