Job summary

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) are seeking a Diverse Learners Teacher to instruct and monitor students, set IEP goals, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The role requires a valid Illinois teaching license (LBS1) and a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Under the supervision of the school principal, you will work to ensure student progress, equity, and wellbeing, participating in district-wide equity and inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Valid Illinois State Board of Education teaching license with LBS1 endorsement.
• Completion of the CPS online application and teaching profile at cps.edu/teach

Responsibilities

• Instruct and monitor students’ progress and behavior in accordance with school policies.
• Set IEP goals aligned with Illinois guidelines.
• Collaborate with case managers, counselors, and teachers to address instructional and social needs of students.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom environment that embraces diversity.
