Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of the CPS online application and teaching profile.
• A valid ISBE teaching license with endorsements for the role (LBS1).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate mastery of content and pedagogy to design instruction and assessments.
• Create a respectful, inclusive classroom culture with strong management of behaviors and procedures.
• Design engaging instruction with appropriately challenging questions and assessments.
• Communicate effectively, exercising professional judgment with staff, families, and students.
• Ensure student safety through adherence to the Student Code of Conduct.
• Personalize learning using curriculum resources and technology as available.
• Support equity and high expectations, including attention to individual needs and use of technology.
