Chicago Public Schools in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Diverse Learners Teacher to provide instruction, progress tracking, and classroom management for students with diverse learning needs. Under the supervision of the principal, you will collaborate with case managers, counselors, and general education teachers to tailor instruction, monitor IEP goals, and promote students’ wellbeing.

The role requires a valid ISBE teaching license (LBS1 endorsement) and a bachelor's degree, with CPS online

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of the CPS online application and teaching profile.
• A valid ISBE teaching license with endorsements for the role (LBS1).

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate mastery of content and pedagogy to design instruction and assessments.
• Create a respectful, inclusive classroom culture with strong management of behaviors and procedures.
• Design engaging instruction with appropriately challenging questions and assessments.
• Communicate effectively, exercising professional judgment with staff, families, and students.
• Ensure student safety through adherence to the Student Code of Conduct.
• Personalize learning using curriculum resources and technology as available.
• Support equity and high expectations, including attention to individual needs and use of technology.
