Job summary

Alpha seeks a dedicated Instructional Coach to lead small-group K‑2 reading workshops grounded in structured literacy. You will run daily motivational sessions, assess progress with running records and fluency checks, and use AI data to tailor instruction.

You’ll be the engaging adult students love working with, building trust and enthusiasm from day one. The role requires on-site work at one Alpha campus (The Woodlands, TX among others) with a focus on small-group instruction and measurable

Qualifications

• Certification in structured literacy OR a Master's in reading instruction
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of full-time K-2 reading instruction in a school or clinical setting
• Proven ability to design original reading lessons independent of a published program
• Ability to assess reading progress and describe concrete improvements in fluency, decoding, or accuracy
• On-site availability at one Alpha campus: Phoenix, AZ; OKC/Tulsa, OK; Fort Worth; Dallas/Plano; The Woodlands, TX; Park City, UT
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate small-group K-2 reading workshops rooted in structured-literacy principles
• Run daily motivational sessions to help students meet weekly app targets
• Conduct running records, fluency assessments, and decoding measures
• Analyze AI-generated student data to differentiate instruction dynamically
• Be the engaging, approachable adult for K-2 students daily
