Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Literacy Program Coordinator to lead structured-literacy reading workshops for K-2 students. You will conduct 20-minute sessions, use live performance data, and engage students with gamified motivation.

The role emphasizes direct classroom work, data-informed instruction, and building rapport with young learners. Required are advanced literacy credentials (structured literacy cert or Master's in reading instruction) and on-site availability at a Phoenix-area campus.

Qualifications

• Certification in structured literacy OR master's in reading instruction.
• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of K-2 structured literacy instruction experience.
• Ability to design lessons and articulate instructional content without a published program.
• Experience assessing reading growth with concrete progress metrics.
• On-site availability at an Alpha campus: Phoenix, AZ; OK or TX; UT; relocation possible.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate small-group K-2 reading workshops using structured-literacy methods.
• Lead daily motivation sessions to reach weekly adaptive-app targets.
• Deliver running records, fluency tests, and decoding probes.
• Analyze AI-generated data to differentiate instruction in sessions.
• Serve as an energetic, engaging Guide for young students.
