Job summary

Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District in Lakeville, Massachusetts is seeking a Computer Technician to support technology operations across the district. The role focuses on maintaining hardware, software, and AV systems, while providing user training to ensure reliable operation.

As part of the District Technology Team, you will manage inventory, assist with IT projects, and document requests. A Associate degree and experience with Chromebooks and educational tech are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree with 1 to 2 years of experience in repairing multi-platform hardware with emphasis on Chromebooks.
• Experience with educational technologies, including knowledge of educational hardware and software.
• Experience in an educational setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on support for hardware, software, and telephone systems across all schools
• Provides user support and training in the use of existing and new technologies
• Deploys new or existing technology on an annual basis, field/triage/resolve/document technology calls and requests
• Maintains accurate and timely IT records, including inventory of hardware, software, supplies, warranties, and RMA’s
• Sets up, test, and break down audio-visual presentation areas, including projectors, displays, wireless presentation systems, microphones, speakers, and mixers, for classrooms, meeting rooms, and event spaces
• Keeps up to date with new technologies in the K-12 space and assists with system updates and changes that support the school’s mission and work
• Participates in IT projects such as equipment deployments and network and system upgrades
• Completes tasks as assigned by Director of Technology or designess
