Job summary

Vista Higher Learning, Inc. is seeking a Language & Literacy Sales Specialist for our K12 team to expand our footprint across Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. You will call upon educators and administrators, delivering demonstrations and consultative solutions that align with district needs.

The role requires travel up to 60% within the territory, a bachelor’s degree, and a proven track record in consultative sales and account management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree minimum.
• 1+ years in consultative sales or similar business development role with a track record.
• Experience in publishing/ed-tech or education-related industry.
• Strong tech orientation and ability to demo products to varied audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• CRM usage for managing sales activities and accounts.
• Prospecting, negotiation, territory management and active listening skills.
• Attention to detail, organization, time-management and follow-through.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% within territory.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals by winning new business and expanding existing accounts.
• Develop deep understanding of products, territory, markets and customer needs.
• Use consultative selling and active listening to align offerings with customer needs.
• Manage and map territory; create account penetration strategies and smart selling plans.
• Prepare and present persuasive sales and training sessions for print and digital programs.
• Build relationships with educators, administrators and customers.
• Participate in sales meetings, events and conferences; travel as needed.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities; follow up to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Sales, Development and Marketing teams; expand brand awareness.
