Job summary

Vista Higher Learning, Inc. is seeking a Language & Literacy Sales Specialist for our K12 team to expand our customer base across Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado.

You will leverage consultative selling, product knowledge, and strong relationship building to win new adoptions, upsell within existing accounts, and partner with educators and administrators.

This role requires travel up to 60% within the territory and offers salary between $65,000 and $85,000 plus performance incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree minimum.
• 1+ year of experience in consultative sales or account management.
• Experience in the publishing, ed-tech, language-learning, or related industry.
• Strong presentation and demonstration skills, both in person and virtual.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using a CRM to manage sales activities and accounts.
• Proven prospecting, consultative-selling, negotiation, and territory management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time-management.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% within territory.

Responsibilities

• Consistently achieve sales goals by winning new adoptions and upselling within existing accounts.
• Develop strong understanding of VHL products and territory to align with customer needs.
• Present persuasive sales and training demonstrations for print and digital programs.
• Build and maintain educator, administrator, and school relationships.
• Collaborate with Sales, Development and Marketing teams to drive opportunities.
• Attend national sales meetings, conferences, and on-site team events.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and follow up with customers on issues.
• Map territory and develop account penetration strategies.
• Use smart selling techniques to optimize coverage and growth.
• Attend networking and sponsorship events to expand contact base.
