Job summary

Vista Higher Learning, Inc. seeks a Language & Literacy Sales Specialist for the K12 team to expand our customer base across Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado.

You will call on educators and administrators, leveraging product knowledge and consultative selling to win adoptions and upsell within accounts. You will travel within the territory, present targeted trainings, and collaborate with Sales, Development and Marketing to drive success for schools and districts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in consultative sales, account management, or a similar role with a successful track record.
• Experience working with or within the publishing, ed-tech, language learning or similar part of the industry.
• Strong technology orientation and experience presenting/demonstrating to diverse audiences both in-person and virtually.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills with adaptable approach.
• Experience using a CRM to manage sales activities and accounts.
• Excellent prospecting, consultative-selling, negotiation, territory management and active listening skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, time-management and follow-through.
• Strong drive, entrepreneurial spirit, flexibility and team orientation.
• Experience evaluating business travel including setting appointments.
• Strong customer service orientation and business acumen.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% within territory and some regional travel.

Responsibilities

• Consistently achieve sales goals by winning new business/adoptions and expanding within existing accounts.
• Develop and maintain strong understanding of VHL products, territory, market, and customer needs.
• Use consultative selling and active listening to win opportunities and align offerings with customer needs.
• Manage and map territory, develop penetration strategies and employ smart selling techniques.
• Prepare and present persuasive sales trainings for print and digital programs.
• Establish and maintain relationships with educators, administrators, customers.
• Attend national sales meetings, networking events, conferences, and on-site meetings.
• Identify and follow up on new business opportunities; follow up with customers to resolve issues.
