Job summary

Vista Higher Learning, Inc. is seeking a Language & Literacy Sales Specialist for the K12 team to expand our customer base in central Texas. You will leverage consultative selling, product knowledge, and strong presentation skills to drive adoptions and upsell within accounts.

The role requires building relationships with educators and administrators, traveling up to 60% within the region, and collaborating with Sales, Development, and Marketing to meet goals and deliver value to schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree minimum.
• 1+ years of consultative sales, account management, or similar role with a successful track record.
• Experience in publishing, ed-tech, language learning, or related industries.
• Strong tech orientation and ability to present/demonstrate products in person and virtually.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using a CRM to manage sales activities and accounts.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, and territory management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Drive, entrepreneurial spirit, flexibility, and team orientation.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% within central Texas.

Responsibilities

• Consistently achieve sales goals by winning new business and expanding adoptions.
• Develop product/territory knowledge and understand customer needs.
• Use consultative selling to align offerings with customer requirements.
• Map and penetrate territory using smart selling strategies.
• Prepare and present targeted sales and training presentations for print and digital programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with educators, admins, and customers.
• Participate in national meetings, events, and on-site team gatherings.
• Follow up on new opportunities and resolve customer issues.
• Collaborate with Sales, Development and Marketing teams.
• Attend networking/sponsorship events to increase contacts and brand awareness.
