Job summary

Newaygo Public Schools is seeking an IT Support Technician to assist the Technology Department with hardware, software, mobile devices and work orders. Reports to the Technology Director and works to keep technology services responsive to staff and students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree related to IT preferred.
• Experience with basic computer troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience supporting mobile devices (ChromeOS and iOS).
• IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Net+, Sec+, Google IT Pro, etc.) are a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components.
• Prioritize customer service and respond to requests promptly.
• Assist staff with basic classroom audio/visual systems.
• Track and report technology work orders/tickets.
• Communicate status of service requests clearly to staff.
• Assist staff with full utilization of standard software features.
• Perform preventative maintenance and upgrades on district tech.
