Job summary

Cengage Group in Oklahoma is seeking a Sales Consultant to drive K-12 sales across the territory. You will travel to schools, conduct in-person consultations with educators, and implement plans to meet aggressive goals.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and proven sales success, with strong communication and CRM skills. You will forecast activities, leverage networking opportunities, and contribute to state-level associations as you expand market share.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with a proven record of consistently meeting sales goals.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and implement sales solutions for districts and schools.
• Strong territory management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with business technologies, PCs, mobile devices, CRM systems and Office software.
• Salesforce knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout the Oklahoma territory to visit current and prospective customers.
• Conduct in-person sales consultations with faculty, curriculum directors, and administrators.
• Develop and implement plans to achieve sales goals.
• Forecast and record sales activity using company tools.
• Participate in conferences, group presentations, and industry events to network within the territory.
• Take an active role in the Oklahoma Publishers Association.
