Job summary

Cengage Group in Oklahoma is seeking a Sales Consultant for the K-12 market. This role requires traveling across the Oklahoma territory to visit current and prospective customers, conducting in-person sales consultations with faculty, curriculum directors, and administrators.

You will develop and implement plans to achieve goals with a hunter mentality, engaging in sales calls to present our textbook and digital product solutions, and driving new business within the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a proven sales record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and implement sales solutions.
• Strong territory management and organizational skills.
• Tech proficiency: PCs, mobile devices, CRM, Salesforce; Office suite.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and move up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales calls to school districts to present product solutions.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Drive new business and growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecasting using company sales tools.
• Participate in conferences, group presentations, and industry events.
• Engage with Oklahoma Publishers Association activities.
