Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a Sales Consultant for the K-12 market who will travel throughout the Oklahoma territory to visit current and prospective customers. You will conduct in-person sales consultations with faculty, curriculum directors and administrators to drive product solutions in textbooks and digital products.

You will develop and implement plans to achieve goals and demonstrate a hunter mentality, using CRM tools to forecast activity and manage the pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with a proven record of sales and goal achievement.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and implement sales solutions.
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and partners, plus detailed territory management and organization.
• Strong proficiency with business tech including PCs, mobile devices, CRM systems and Microsoft Office. Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to transport materials to customer locations and lift up to 50 lbs unaided (up to 100 lbs with assistance).

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to school districts to explore and present product solutions of textbooks and digital products.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Drive new business to develop growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecasting and sales activity using company sales tools.
• Participate in network-building opportunities within the territory (conferences, group presentations, industry functions).
• Take an active role in the Oklahoma Publishers Association.
