Job summary

Caledonia Community School District Technology Department in Caledonia, Michigan seeks a Technology Support Specialist to join the IT team for district-wide support. Immediate start, reports to the Director of Technology, year-round full-time position, and a base salary per hour with experience-based increments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in related field or 2 years commensurate successful work experience in end-user computer and software support.
• Experience providing support to desktop computer users in a network environment; educational setting preferred.
• Ability to prioritize, organize tasks, and work independently when needed.
• Effective communication with a wide variety of people.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with all levels of users in the district, including administration.
• Troubleshoots Mac and PC hardware, Chromebooks, software, voice/data network, and A/V problems.
• Performs software maintenance on network and user machines: upgrades, patches, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting.
• Maintains accurate inventory of devices, hardware, software, and AV equipment.
• Provides technical assistance to users for district supported hardware, software and web applications.
• Provides timely equipment status updates.
• Keeps service records for all technology support requests.
• Maintenance of district computers including imaging and warranty work.
